The Muting of Gold's TF Episodes
Today, I decided to look up some openings, and looked up Gold's TF Season 1 Opening.
When I clicked the video, I noticed that it was muted.
I knew that the opening was used for Episodes 1-7, and that those episodes were likely to be muted as well.
Sure enough, Episodes 1-5 were all muted, but 6 and 7 weren't. The version of the opening in Episode 7 has poor sound quality, and probably didn't register with WMG, which is why the episode was left untouched. Episode 6, on the other hand, just hasn't been muted yet.
Once again, I ask for you guys to help a fellow hacker out.

Re: The Muting of Gold's TF Episodes
gosh damn, Gold can't win, can he?
Well, if I don't know how this works, but I do know he has to use this code:
"Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use."
If you put it in your description, then your audio is safe.
Gold might have to do something like a counter claim with that code, I'm not sure.

It's most likely because Gold is the most popular/most watched hacker in the community at the moment.

She probably meant that the more reputable hackers have their episodes blocked and/or muted, which, for the most part, is true.

This happened more than a year ago... It's sad, yes, but I'm surprised that you would even bring up something so old.
No one closed Andrew's first account, either. A closed account is one that can be re-opened.
Andrew's account was suspended, not closed.

Ahh, I see. Also, for those who didn't know, a few of Narufreak2's(Tyson) episodes have been muted as well.

That's terrible! Could you tell me which episodes in particular?
Re: The Muting of Gold's TF Episodes
I'll have to get him to tell me when he get's on because I don't feel like going through all his videos. I do remember him showing me some of them in the past though.

Re: The Muting of Gold's TF Episodes
Okay so he wasn't muted, but a lot of his episodes are copyrighted he says. Some of mine are too. :/

Damn :/ This is getting annoying, But hell we can't stop youtube.
Re: The Muting of Gold's TF Episodes
A few of my episodes are copyrighted, but my account has no strikes on it. They actually got copyrighted near the same time I uploaded them, but it does not seem to really affect anything.
My original series' Episode 7 Part 2 was muted a long time ago, but I used "Headstrong", so it was obviously copyright bait.

Most video game OSTs, which is what I prefer to use.
Re: The Muting of Gold's TF Episodes
There has been too many World War's in the hacker community so now we call them "Hacker Wars"

You know what I meant.
Hopefully, this won't serve as a major problem. For copyright, that is. We've had our fair share of that.

I did post a solution for the muting on my first post on this thread.
From what I heard, having that little piece of text in your description prevents your vid from being muted and taken down for music reasons.
Re: The Muting of Gold's TF Episodes
Well anyway, I filled out a dispute thingy and all the TF episodes are fixed. Jamal said there was a problem with PGA eps 89+, but I can't seem to find any problems and the audio works on when I try to watch the videos. Hm...
EDIT: Never mind, he says they're good.
