Super Smash Bros Crusade

Wasn't sure of where to post this, but I'll post it here for now and move it later when I learn of where it belongs.

Anyway, Crusade is a fan smash game that is, at the moment, at version 0.83.

The game has a planned total of 80+ characters which include characters from previous Smash games, along with characters like Ridley, Toad, Shadow, Geno, Tingle, and many other characters. They also have DLC polls for more characters, which include characters like Travis Touchdown, Crono from Crono Trigger, Viewtiful Joe, Sora, Mickey Mouse, and many others.

One reason I'm posting is because A) the game has a variety of characters that people can play, but also because B) it has an online mode, so you can even play with friends.

Anyway, that's all I got to say.

If anyone that has the game wants to post their mains, they may go ahead, I'll add them to the OP as well.

Super Smash Flash 2? I think people would move to that if it had online. The thing about it is that TSON (SSF2 Dev) said Crusade had better gameplay, but one has to download Crusade... Meh.

Completely forgot to post this, but we'll need Hamachi Network for when we play online for Crusade. Helps with connection/setting up matches.

Welp I have to say, I like how the screen is. The Control's Section IS BROKEN! I was trying to set it to the
SSF2 settings. Though it screws up and I can't move. Plus I don't know the regular controls.
(In all the sprites also look bad... )

They're in the process of updating the sprites, so that should not be an issue.

As for the controls...

I believe these are the controls to scroll down and select options:
M - Select
T - Up
G - Down

(Side note, just spelt Magic the Gathering like a baws).

The reason the controls are like the way they are is because most people that play Crusade on the forums have a controller.

Luckily for us, no one has a controller, so we are all on the same playing field.

And chances are, they probably found it in the same area they found Fox and whatnot. They're redoing MK to match Kirby's style, and they're just redoing Fox and the Star Fox trio in general.

Nope, never played as him, never will. Figured I'd put him as a main just to mess with everyone. /sarcasm

Of course I've played as him. XD I don't know all the tips and tricks yet, but hey, I got time.

You have to unlock him, just like you'd unlock a character in an actual SSB game.

Toon Link is in, actually.

However, his moveset is different.

Instead of the U-Special from Brawl, he has the Deku Leaf, which allows him to float and it can push opponents back.

Instead of Bomb, he has the Bomb-Chu, which, when it touches the ground, travels along it until it explodes.

Arrows are the same, and he still has the boomerang since Link's Boomerang became his Aerial Side Special.

Well... I do not know how Hamachi ties in, sorry to say.

However, to set up online is easy.

1: Go to Online on the menu.

2A: If you're the host, go to create game.
2B: If you're not the host, go to join game.

3A: Change the match settings to match the tourney ruleset (will post Crusade's when the tourney is started)
3B: Type in the IP of the person HOSTING the match. Then hit enter.

4: Scroll up to your name and change your character.

5: Select a stage you want to play on. (Must be agreed upon by both players unless it is a counter pick)

6: Claim ready.

7: Once bother players are ready, highlight start and hit okay (normal attack button).

Then you're ready to go!

Q: How do I play online?
A:
1. Make sure you have Hamachi downloaded, installed, and running. You can find the download here. Make sure to download the Unmanaged version.
2. Make sure you and your opponent are on the same Hamachi network.
3. Select the Online Mode option on the home menu of Crusade v0.8. Then, figure out if you're going to be the host or if someone else will be the host.
3.1. If you are going to be the host, select "Host Game". Give your Hamachi IP to the person you will be playing.
3.2. If you are going to join your opponent's game, select "Join Game" and paste the Hamachi IP your opponent gives you into the pop-up window.
4. Both players select their characters. Using the same selection buttons as the main menu, navigate yourself to the personal options window (selecting yourself in the lobby) and select "Character". Select the character you will be playing on the CSS that pops up. If you want to play as an alt character (e.g. Evil Ryu or Zero Suit Samus) the option will come up to select one or the other.
5. The host sets the game settings and the stage that the game will be played on. At the moment, there are very few selectable stages, but that will be fixed in a patch.
6. Both players select "Claim Ready" and the host starts the game.
