The first ever PHCommunitylocke
As the title says, this is the thread for the first ever Communitylocke for the PHC.
What's a Communitylocke, you may ask? Well, simply, it's a group of people Nuzlocke the same game.
To make it interesting, however, it's gonna be run on a point system, and the whoever has the most points at the end wins.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Game: Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire
Set Rules:
1) You may only catch the first encounter in any location. If it faints or you run out of PokéBalls, you may not catch anything from that route.
2) If a Pokémon faints, it is considered dead and may no longer be used. You may either release it or deposit it into the PC.
3) You must nickname every Pokémon.
4) Master Balls are banned.
5) Legendaries may not be caught and/or used.
6) A "white out" is game over, even if you have other Pokémon in the box.
Optional Rules:
Duplicate Clause: If you're first encounter is a Pokémon you have already caught, you may skip it and catch the next Pokémon.
Shiny Clause: If you find a shiny Pokémon after you're first encounter, you may still catch it. If it is your first encounter, though, then it counts as the first encounter.
More rules may be suggested.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Point System:
+1 catch (starter included)
+3 catching a shiny (including the previous 1 for a +4 total)
+2 defeating a gym with Pokemon that are weak to the gym type
+3 defeating an E4 member with Pokemon that are weak to the E4 type
+1 for beating a Gym.
+1 for beating an E4 Member/Champion
+1 killing a legendary
-1 losing a pokemon

Re: The first ever PHCommunitylocke
I'm interested.
I'd suggest giving a few extra points to whoever completes the game first, but I don't think that could be easily figured out unless everyone was streaming it or something.

I had a thought sort of similar to a completion point of sorts, but it was based around whoever had the most Pokémon around completion.
Since you lose points for having something die and gain points for catching, no point in that, as it turned out.
As for the completion, as you pointed out, it would be too hard to tell.
