This thread is for anime lovers to post anime that they enjoy(ed). I'll personally post synopsis' for the upcoming seasons of anime and just anime that I enjoy ^^ (yes I made each of these synopsis' by myself and watched at least an episode of each anime that is posted.)


WINTER ANIME 2011

Infinite Stratos
Hmm If you love your Mecha's and Love your Woman then this just might be an anime for you But before I begin I have to explain what a IS(infinite Stratos) is all in all a IS is basically a mecha however only girls are supposed to be able to use them or at least thats the way it's supposed to be. There is One Boy who is able to pilot a IS and since he is the only one in the world he gets special treatment. (italsohelpshissisterwasaolympicISpilotomgplotmagicwhatthehellisthis.) Anyways IS are only used for sport purposes because if they were used for actual war then the world would end (kind of like nuclear warfare laws.) Back to the point the one man able to pilot the IS get's his own badass blue and white personal IS and gets to go to a school filled only with girls who one would find extremely attractive. (staying professional) This is where Orimua, Ichika Journey to becoming a master IS pilot begins./Hmm I'm gonna give this an (7.5/10) because instead of just focusing on the harem part of the story they do decent Battle scenes and the fights make sense in a way mecha's do which is something that I feel lacks in supposedly action harems nowadays.

YumeKui Merry
Hmm this is one of the more Odd Anime to appear on the scene to be completely honest I've seen this genre but I've never seen something quite like this.This anime goes deep into the dream psyche. It starts with a boy who has the ability to see dream aura's (pretty much a fortuneteller for dreams) is having a nightmare about being chased by evil mafia, gangsta (no typo), Rabbits for what he doesn't know nor does he want to find out he manages to stay free until the time of his dream is over and he wakes up in his bed. ON A DIFFERENT NOTE you find a oddly dressed loli type character (oddly=scantily kind of...don't judge me.) she's in what seems like a wasteland and she seems to have amnesia. TRANSITION back to the boy he's in school and with his friends just hanging out in class before homeroom you meet his friends a.k.a the writing/book club you have the love interest, the club president the wingman/bestfriend and his love interest. after school you see them discussing books and writing in the club room where soon he leaves and starts to head home BUT WAIT PLOT INTERFERENCE? The scantily dressed loli falls on top of him from a tree out of nowhere A COINCIDENCE? I THINK NO Anyways the loli starts to freak out because she dropped her hat she then runs off looking for her hat but your main male character finds it and is now close to home but THE RABBITS FROM THE DREAM START APPEARING (out of nowhere seriously wtf are you on bro, you should probably fix that.) the rabbits surround him and the boss finally appears (I'm not gonna lie he doesn't look like the type of fellow you want to meet in an alley actually you don't want to meet him anywhere ever I don't care if your at Chuckie Cheese he is not someone you mess around with.)The boss then explains that he's having a DAYDREAM(get it hahahahaha...again don't judge me)and that he is about two seconds from taking our heroes consciousness FOREVER. BUT WAIT WE CAN'T HAVE THIS The Loli appears out of the sky grabs her Hat introducing herself as "Merry" and proceeds to Kickass she then explains like the rabbits she is from the dreamworld and all she wants do is get home after she beats the boss the boss is like 'so hoe you take my only chance of coming to reality demolish my minions and make me monologue and you want me to take you back? Go freak yourself your on your own." and then proceeds to fade back into the dreamworld he mutters something ominous but the first villain always does and the boy and Merry both return to reality./ Hmm This is definitely one of the more interesting anime but me personally I haven't been able to get into it that much however I'm gonna give it a Solid (7.3)


Wolverine
Okay I'm gonna sum this up in one sentence.: If you wanna see Wolverine cut up hoes and be invincible etc etc in an anime HD like fashion then you should watch this.(Lets be honest your only watching this if you need some immediate violence or a lover of Marvel your not watching this for plot however graphically it's pretty cool) 6/10 it doesn't stand out to those who aren't looking for immediate violence.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
Hmm 4 words. Loli's All day errday. It's pretty much the common "Sailor Moon+loli= Win" math nothing special just that played out style I'm not gonna grade this because I'm not the guy to tell the intricate differences between anime themed on loli's.

Card Fight Vanguard
Hmm this anime kinda reminds me of Duel Masters and Yugioh (yes because they're both card games but it's more than that) I think they put the character types from yugioh into a duel Masters Format You start with your weak middle school boy no confidence whatsoever. "Sendo Aichi"(A.K.A Yugi Mutou)BUT WAIT he has a love for trading cards. BUT WAIT HE MADE A DECK BUT NEVER PLAYS? until one day he's in the school yard being bullied by (they're so insignificant and horrible that I'm gonna refer to them as Joey and Tristan....I'm serious don't Judge me bro ;_ Joey and Tristan they are also fans of the game and steal his rare card Aichi chases after them to the local card shop but By the time he gets there he finds Joey already lost his card in a bet to the spiky Haired "Kai". (yes that is his actual name layoff.) Aichi wants his card back but Kai is reluctant and tells him he has to win it back. Eventually Aichi wins his first game most likely because Kai was going easy on him and returns the card (in between this It turns out Kai gave Aichi the card in the first place to help him become more brave.....anime logic.)/ All in all this is a card game anime so if your ever bored and feel like watching a new card game unfold them this is for you it's also directed towards I'd say ages of 6-12 I'm not gonna rate this one because I don't know what to give it I'm not in the crowd it toward however I'll say that I have kept up with it thus far in the new anime season.

Gosick
I'm not gonna lie I really enjoy this anime it gives a good mystery and perfectly timed cliff hangers. Ok The story starts out in the early-mid 1900 A young boy from Japan is sent to Europe to study internationally. However douchebag Europeans are like "What the hell bro you have black hair therefore you must be a satan like creature." (Europeans have blond or brunette colored hair.) Due to this young Kujo is rejected by everybody one day he finds himself in this GIGANTIC ASS LIBRARY HONESTLY BIGGEST LIBRARY EVER. He climbs to the top of the library (soo many steps....) and finds a short girl with long blond hair all she says to him is "You'll be back tomorrow" and Kujo runs away like a little girl only to comeback the next day. The girl introduces herself as Victorique and she is pro at solving mysteries. (puts Scooby Doo and Detective Conan to shame) and this is the start of Kujo and Victorique's strange relationship./This anime is really good it's one of the few anime that take place in the past that I like. If your looking for a good Mystery anime that isn't cheesy or non violent then this is definitely for you the mysteries are actually somewhat difficult to solve to a point. 8.5/10

Level E
Okay Yoshihiro Togashi (creator of Yu Yu Hakusho and HunterXHunter) decides to do something new and go for a comedy anime and it is extremely successful. This anime is epic honestly I love it the comedy is great and the plot is so simple. "Level is isn't just one story but a bunch of short stories about one man...errr...Alien whose one goal is to freak with people. (usually of the Japanese variety) The story starts with a quick explanation about aliens long story short they're everywhere thousands of different types but all of them have agreed not to fight on earth the aliens disguise themselves as humans however humans don't know about their existence we coexist with them to make it simple. Baka Ki Eru Dogura is The prince of planet Dogura however most people refer to him as "Prince Baka" He is extremely smart however his only goal is to screw with humans and aliens alike./This anime doesn't go into one main story but it parodies many other shows even american ones like Power Rangers I honestly love this anime and I can't wait for Monday's so I can watch it I give it a 9.5/10 One of the best comedies I've seen.

Onii-chan no Koto nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne!!

Awkward. Really. Really. Awkward. Ok So I'm gonna sum this up as one would say Quick,Fast,and In a Hurry. The story revolves around a brother (Shuuske) and a sister (Nao).(yeah we know where this is going...) Nao is all about messing with her older brother in the "strangest" ways possible Shuuske is a closet pervert honestly he has all the traits. "Master of Hiding Porn, Porn sharing group, Ero Dating Sims, etc. etc." (Porn games) Nao also loves her brother more than a sister SHOULD love a brother. (wink wink./they are step sisters and brother so it's still legal. (in case you were wondering) ) The story goes around Shuuske the pervert being tormented by his sister and collecting his own personal wacky harem in the process. Honestly what stands out about this anime are the graphics I have to say they really shine and the situations are hilarious I can say this anime has made a strong attempt to break the boundary where peple believe anime should not pass openly talking about masturbation and other things that society has deemed "inappropriate" even for anime without breaking the boundary that would turn it into Hentai. (anime pornography I have decided not to rate any of the ecchi type anime however if your looking for a comedy and don't mind awkwardness and by awkward I mean, serious awkwardness (unless your Kawiipoyo) then this is definitely a good anime and I will say that it is extremely funny. (if you have that kind of humor)

Freezing
Ok Badass. This is just honestly Badass. No other way to describe it. The story is a bit convoluted but I will explain what I can. First let me explain the science of this anime. Some Girls are born with "maiden's tears". These are found on the females back depending on how many tears a female has that determines her power level these girls are referred to as "Pandoras". However Pandoras can't utilize this power fully without a male counterpart to activate what one would call freezing.(The males that can activate a freezing are called Limiters) in freezing a women can unleash her full power and the freezing depending on how strong the male is will inflict a status on the opponent usually making the opponent weak an unable to move. These Pandoras and Limitiers get special treatment because they ultimately protect the world Pandoras' and limiter's in training are sent to an academy in Japan Known as "Genetics" where they learn to use their powers and Females get to choose their limiters. This is where our story begins./ That is a basic synopsis and to get to the actual story would take way too long so I'll end it there. This anime is ecchi but it goes into serious weapons combat I love watching the fights not just because they're chicks but because they go into a updated dragonballz type fight sequences. (except with girls and alot more blood) this is an EXTREMELY MATURE ANIME they are not afraid to show full frontal shots of Women however they wont show anymore than The female chest area.....(Tidies) If your looking for good action serious plot and aren't afraid of partial nudity then this is a very good anime to watch.

Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka?
I like this anime alot good humor the main character is someone you can relate to. This is a good action comedy the only reason why I decided to put it in ecchi is because of certain transformations. The main character (Aikawa Ayumu) quickly reveals himself to be a zombie by saving a small kitten from getting hit by a bus Ayumu is a 16 year highschool student he used to live alone until the day he died However a Beautiful girl in a strange outfit brought him back from the dead. This girl (Yuu) refuses to speak however she communicates to Ayumu through Notes on a notepad. Ayumu's dream is to kill the person who originally killed him. However one night Ayumu is chillin at the graveyard (because that's apparently where zombies go to hang out,play cards, etc,etc.)after his usual town search for the serial killer that killed him until he is immediately ripped to shreds. by a giant bear...monster....thing Not to worry because a Loli in a skimpy outfit appears and quickly destroys the monster. she reveals the monster as what is known as a Megalo and herself as a MAHOU SHOJO. (it's as feminine as it sounds) Ayumu is like "Cool Story Bro" and goes to leave when the mahou shojo immediately loses her power and ends up naked. The Former mahou shojo tells Ayumu that somehow he has gained her powers so now she orders that she be allowed to stay at his place until her powers return. The next day a megalo is attracted to school due to Ayumu's now increased magical powers and attacks him eventually is forced to turn into a MAHOU SHOJO. (he looks like a bad cosplay) Ayumu defeats the monster but not in time for the whole school to see him in his extremely feminine outfit. This anime is pretty cool I enjoy it and keep up with it More character development happens later on in the series and through the episodes it gets more and more violent still it manages to keep a good comedy through this. If your looking for Magical Humor then this is for you. on a side not Ayumu is the one who brings this anime together.

Just re-got into the anime scene over the summer, I recommend High School of The Dead. It's a unique zombie apocalypse "drama", very good. First season has been completed and the second should be released next year.

Also, if you've never seen Elfen Lied, do so NAO.
